As a wedding photographer, there's nothing quite like an engagement session to get to know my couple’s and capture their love story. When Souha and Kereem contacted me about their engagement session at the Swan House, I knew we were in for a special day! But when the forecast called for overcast skies and rain, I have to admit, I was a little nervous. These two, who are from NY, had flown into town just for the shoot! So we couldn't just postpone. But I needn't have worried. Despite the weather, we had an incredible time and made the most of the situation.

The Swan House, located in the heart of Atlanta, is a breathtaking mansion with lush gardens, fountains, and stunning architecture. It's no wonder that Souha and Kereem chose this as the location for their engagement session. And while the rain may have dampened the day, it certainly didn't dampen our spirits. In fact, it added a special element to the photos, giving them a unique and romantic feel.

As we wandered through the gardens, we were able to capture the love between Souha and Kereem in a way that felt truly authentic. The raindrops added a softness and texture to the images, giving them a timeless and dreamy quality. It was as if we were in our own little world, captured in a moment that could last forever.

It totally screamed “The Notebook” vibess. The soft, muted colors of the rain-soaked gardens and the stunning architecture of the Swan House combined perfectly to create a backdrop that felt straight out of a classic romance novel.

Sometimes, when the unexpected happens, we have an opportunity to create something truly special. Despite the rain and overcast skies, we were able to capture beautiful, timeless images. And that is the true beauty of being a wedding photographer.
